I collected my wife's ashes this afternoon. I should have done it yesterday, but I forgot. Oops. #MemoryLikeASieve

You, Larry, was the only thing keeping me going to Twixxer.
I assume that they have run out of famous people that don't have a dodgy past. I hope Larry doesn't have anything he wants to keep buried (other than poo) because someone, somewhere will find it.
Today, 12th March, is World Kidney Day. Learn from my experience. Kidney failure is a life-limiting condition which, in many cases, can be avoided. Dialysis is a severe treatment which takes its toll on the body. A transplant is a treatment, not a cure.
Drink plenty of water.

My wife and I were coming back from a trip, just before the Brexit vote. The transport driver for disabled passengers said he was voting for Brexit because he wanted to buy alcohol duty-free. Forget freedom of movement, red tape and rising costs. Duty-free.

So, my wife, Sue, died earlier today. Age 70. Tomorrow is my birthday. F*CK!
Currently listening to #QuietPlease, The New Best of #NickLowe. Only 49 tracks on it. 🤣
My #MusicChallenge is still on a hiatus as my wife is more unwell than she was immediately after the #stroke. She hasn't eaten since August.
Please, no prayers. We are both #Atheists. Just warm thoughts.
My wife is back in hospital. This time with severe dehydration.
In March, my wife had a stroke (still not able to stand up), then I lost my 19yo cat, and the bathroom was stripped out so I had no toilet.
Would love another cat, or a dog to get me out of the house, but my wife is using her condition to say "no". To be fair, it would complicate things.
I had this event in my diary, but still missed it.
Today is #MentalHealthAwarenessDay. I'm reaching out to anyone who is currently struggling with what is going on in their Life. If you would like a chat with me, do contact me.
The story of a high speed crash. The video is shocking. What is even more shocking is that the driver was 49 years old. So reckless.

My final #OrganDonationWeek post. Making sure your decision, to donate or not, is known is one of the important things you can do. You won't need your organs after you die, but someone else could live a better life because of your decision. Please think seriously about donating.
#KidneyCareUK
#OrganDonationWeek continues. I'm nearing my 4th anniversary for my #transplant. The message is to make sure your family knows your decision, no matter which way, so that they follow your views.

Continuing Organ Donation Week. Living donors are heroes to the kidney community.

This week is Organ Donation Week. Please make sure your wishes are known by others be they to donate your organs or not. Don't forget, once you are dead you don't need them any more.

I'm getting used to people turning up to our door saying they are here to see Sue, my wife, for some medical reason. More people have come into our home in the last few weeks than as many years.
My wife, Sue, is finally out of #hospital and back #home following her #stroke. She has me running around after her as she is still confined to bed as she can't walk or stand.
Sue, my wife, is now out of #hospital and getting me to run around the house doing everything at her beck and call. #Unfair? She can't walk. Now that's unfair. The #stroke to that away from her.
Thank you for your kind words, ismua. Sue is waiting for a home care plan, i.e. professional carers to come into our home 4 times a day as she still can't stand or walk. Discharge delayed due to hospital acquired infections. Sue's the youngest on the ward, and everyone shouts as they're deaf.

Yes, I visit my wife, Sue, everyday for around 3 hours. I don't have to travel far (I can see the hospital from my back garden or yard). However, listening to her emotionally sharing her thoughts takes its toll.
This is why I have (accidentally) taken a break.

It's been a while since I last submitted a track for consideration on this platform. I feel that restarting as if nothing has happened is wrong.
So, why the gap? As I have mentioned before, my wife is in hospital, having had a stroke. I visit her every day.

Day 109
#MyFavouriteGame by #TheCardigans (1998)
I love the guitar hook and the great vocals. Don't try driving like this at home.

Only in terms of music I like. The breadth but it turns out that rock music is always right there.
It's been been hard to get traction recently as my wife is still in hospital (4 mths now) and I was working all weekend, so still trying to get back to "normality".

Day 108
#IWish by #StevieWonder (1976)
From the start, a really nice and fat bass line, I just love the up-tempo vibe of this track. Plus the punchy brass section. Just #FANTASTIC

Day 107
#LowRider by #War (1975)
I first heard this track whilst watching #CheechAndChong's #UpInSmoke. To my uneducated ears it sounds like a simple tune but it gets in touch with my soul and stays there. #Greatvibe.

I've been looking at the tracks on my list and I just want to play them all.

Day 106
#DrivingWheels by #JimmyBarnes (1988)
A brilliant track by this Australian powerhouse of a vocalist, former and current frontman of band #ColdChisel, "one of Australia's best-loved groups".
No mullets were harmed in the making of this video.

Day 105
#CultOfPersonality by #LivingColour (1988)
I used to be a DJ at a rock club. This was a very popular track. No one cared that they were people of (living) colour. Such power in this track.
