We will identify gaps, define new terms and names, and determine what adjustments need to be made, since multichannel music is no longer limited to electroacoustics.

Diffusion devices have evolved considerably, and many of them can no longer be called “acousmonium,” and the terms ‘multichannel’ and even “multiphony” are very imprecise.

We need to name these devices that use peripherony, endophony, exophony, and allocentricity; to describe their specific features: multilayered, multivolume, and multizone.
