All multiverses should use the Rule of Two, whether it's Star Trek's regular and evil or Futurama's regular and cowboy.

You can all stop emailing me to get more jokes about Louis St. Laurent onto the site. It's done. You're welcome.

The Wikipedia page for the 1991 Punisher says "[Castle] now lives in the city's labyrinthine sewer system, having assassinated 125 mobsters (not counting henchmen)," a bizarre clarification apparently invented by someone with a grudge against henchmen. Is there an editor out there who was betrayed

I feel like Clown-Around Clare is a neutral to good nickname for a comedian. Like, yeah. That’s what you’re doing.

One of the unexpected challenges of writing enduring fiction is that 125 years ago you could have a character in your adventure story keep talking about his important vision of "a Red Bull" without your reader thinking that he really needs a caffeine hit

I was just going through some reviews of a pulpy thriller I finished and came across this. It's a book that includes a heroic FBI agent, a bunch of nice cops, and a team of cool, badass spec ops guys at the end. I think we're just bad at reading fiction, and we'll have to learn to do better.
