I wish I could say something true about him. Something meaningful, that he would want shared. But I don't think I can do that.
The simplest truth is that a person who I knew, and who knew me is gone now. and my life is poorer for it.
He would be 50 now. I keep thinking that. I subtract my age from his everyday. I can't comprehend the idea of outliving him in that way. It's perverse. It's wrong. It shouldn't be possible.
Nearly a year ago my dad died and I wasn't there. It took me an hour to get to the house, I missed the sirens and the paramedics. When I got there, it was quiet except for the wailing, and the medics stood outside pointedly looking away from me.

Just finished Tacoma by developer Fullbright (Gone Home) and I enjoyed it alot! The game is an incredibly tight, well paced, and intriguing narrative exploration of a future that is crafted immaculately.
Also, the length was just right for me! Clocking in at a tidy 2h23min.
