Treasure Planet was released 23 years ago today... and literally takes us off in this magnificent shot. ✨

“Stasis” is a portrait painted by the artist Zara Alfonso, and is the first piece in her series about invisible illness. A portrait painting of a girl with skin so pale she’s almost translucent, her lips are tinged blue and she gazes upward through seemingly unseeing eyes. Pale moths and winged insects cover the expanse of her face and body, blending into her skin in places.

I’m really excited to share that I won the Frank R. Paul Award for Best Magazine Cover Art! My painting Stasis, a self-portrait about invisible illness, was featured on the cover of Uncanny Magazine Issue 58 🖤

My bg3 tav Nimue and Karlach, cuddling at Nimue’s bed. Nimue is the big spoon and Karlach the small one, Nimue’s around Karlach’s waist (ish). Clive, Karlach’s teddy bear, is being hugged by both her and Nimue. Karlach is grabbing onto Nimue’s hand sweetly. The room is colored in purple hues except for the floor, which is of a wooden hue. However, it’s mostly covered by a green rug inspired in grass/moss, with white flower accents. There’s plants and fairy lights hanging from the ceiling, and a Kiki’s Delivery Service poster on one of the walls, along with a mirror.
