Not helped by some dodgy offside calls and poor referee.

Dreadful officiating! #Saintsfc
I have published a race guide for Ironman 70.3 Vitoria-Gasteiz on my blog. Check it out if you fancy a fast 70.3 with the best swim and flattest run. #ironman #triathlon #ironman70.3 #IMvitoria irontwit.creativeblogs.net/2026/04/20/i...
Whoop! They've announced the TdFF route for next year! Not quite past my house but might have to figure a viewing strategy out...
Always handy to remember:
Thatcher doubled the debt in 10 years.
Major doubled it again in 7 years.
Labour were starting to pay it down until the financial crash required bank bailouts etc.
Cameron & Osborne borrowed more in 6 years than the combined borrowing of every single Labour government.
Reality:
The Tories nearly trebled National Debt, gave us the highest tax burden for 70 years, yet slashed spending for 14 years, including cuts to the military, compounded things with their Brexit disaster and useless deals like Badenoch's CPTPP, leaving Labour to sort out their mess.
From a parent point of view: my child was accused of using AI for coursework. They refused to accept AI checker evidence from him using multiple checker platforms that demonstrated that the work was his and made him sign a document that that he took full responsibility.
If a 600-ton excavator can be converted from diesel to electric, pretty much anything can.
And thanks to Dementia Don and the oil crooks pulling his strings, the world is now - finally - scrambling to break decisively with fossil fuels.

You can be progressive, constructive, compassionate, pro-growth, humane and decent. Or you can vote Labour, Reform or Conservative. You cannot vote for any of those parties AND claim you're progressive, consteructive, or even decent really. Choose.
Utterly disgraceful way to start a news report.

When people post shit about renewables, they conveniently forget about the huge carbon intensive infrastructure required to drill, move and refine oil before you get to burn it in your car.
They're nothing like the transcontinental bulk carrier behemoths yet, but they are happening. Expect a lot of development in the coming years. english.www.gov.cn/news/202510/...
Run strong!
I’ve been looking at the table. Assuming #Saintsfc keep winning then we need 2 things to happen: Ipswich to drop points tomorrow against ‘Boro and Millwall to draw 1 of their last 3 games (Stoke, Leicester, Oxford)
All we need is Stevenage to go up via the playoffs to create the best North London Derby ever!
Actually, he kind of did start with camps. Dachau was opened less than 2 months after he came to power and a day before the enabling act was passed. Not that it changes anything as far as comparisons with the US regime is concerned.

The absolute state of this word salad.
Yet another ludicrous example of how the UK's internal transport network fails its citizens. I'm working under the assumption that the airlines that flew this guy to Barcelona are making a profit. You can hardly blame him. Who wouldn't like a nice warm day in the sun? www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
It's a shocking state of affairs - all stemming from Starmer wanting to appease the orange turnip at all costs. I don't think we're done with the Machiavellian twists yet!
Lammy is head of the FCDO and either he knew of the vetting failure or his senior civil servant was running his own policy. Neither is a credible position for a senior minister of state.
Sir Olly Robbins is a very experienced civil servant, He would know that, even if the decision to appoint Mandy had already been made (in order to appease Trump), a failure to report to his boss would be catastrophic for his career if it ever came out. This does not pass the sniff test.
"I was not told that he failed security vetting. No minister was told that he failed security vetting, Number 10 wasn't told that he failed security vetting." This is an incredible statement from a PM. It beggars belief that a senior civil servant did not tell his boss, i.e. Lammy.
No 10 are running out of people to throw in front of this scandal and there's little chance it stops here. It isn't plausible that the Perm Sec took such a decision without involving the Foreign Secretary. If it was plausible, then Lammy wasn't running the FCDO:

He needn't worry; we'll finish second and go up automatically 😍
My daughter (21) and not really a football fan has developed a weird obsession with Mark Dennis’ #Saintsfc instagram feed. It is joyfully nuts, to be fair.
Over the last few years, American tech oligarchs have become the greatest argument against their own existence.
The sheer scale of their erratic behavior and political interference proves that extreme wealth concentration is a structural threat to society
Are there some limited use case scenarios? For example, when cruise liners dock they keep their heavily polluting engines running to generate electricity. They can’t plug into the local grid because a single cruise liner consumes as much electricity as a small city.
Unpopular opinion, I didn’t like it. I think it would have been a story much better told in a movie. It was too flabby.
