You can catch it this Friday at Mercurio APS, for Fuorisalone 2026: doors open at 5:30 PM; starting at 6:30 PM, I’ll play a short live set accompanying a roughly half-hour iteration.

Piano strings, guitars played with a bow, steam whistles, bells, and field recordings: many different materials have found a place in this composition that winds back on itself, never returning to its starting point.

I built the soundscape that accompanies ACUFONIA, drawing inspiration from the materials and structures that make it up. Fourteen loops of varying nature chase one another over half an hour, creating interlocks, overlaps, and ever-changing paths.

Starting from 5:30PM, a rarefied series of sound loops will guide the viewer in exploring this work, which investigates the ideas of perception and limit, senses and consciousness. From 6:30, I’ll play a short live set, in dialogue with both the installation and the soundscape.

The more the merrier: this is a quite simple setup, just feeding the outputs into the two available channels, but with effects loop and more channels the noises seems even more outstanding!
