From what I understand it’s just that safety/efficacy haven’t been established for <6mo but it’s not like ceftriaxone where there’s concerns for kernicterus in neonates. Fwiw if someone called poison control saying their 5mo drank a whole bottle I wouldn’t be concerned 😅
