NEW: @nathaliemarechal.net and I wrote for the @bostonglobe.com about the new push for "age verification" (aka mandatory online ID checks) in Massachusetts and how it will hurt kids and help Trump.
Send this to people you know in MA and tell them to send it to their state senators & the governor!

So much false equivalence in media on gerrymandering in Texas vs California & Virginia. California and Virginia maps approved by the voters. That's a huge difference not enough people pointing out
WASHINGTON (AP) — Virginia voters approve new US House districts that could aid Democrats in midterm elections.
Thirteen U.S. troops died trying to get these people to safety — Afghan interpreters, soldiers, and the families of our service members. Veterans spent sleepless nights during the chaotic withdrawal fighting to keep them alive. Now our own government is going to abandon them.
A screenshot of a post on X (formerly Twitter) by Magyar Péter (Ne féljetek), with the handle @magyarpeterMP. The post reads: "Until 31 May, the Orbán puppets may voluntarily step down from their positions. This applies to the President of Hungary, the President of the Curia, the President of the National Office for the Judiciary, the President of the Constitutional Court, and the Prosecutor General. On 12 April, the Hungarian people voted for a complete political transformation. If these officials do not step down voluntarily by 31 May, then — on the basis of the mandate received from millions of Hungarians — we will remove them from office." At the bottom, the timestamp reads "3:04 AM • Apr 21, 2026" alongside "19.9K Views".
Peter Magyar is not playing around at all. He's going to purge every single remnant of corrupt Orbanism. This is exactly how Dems need to be when they retake power.
The next administration must make clear that any immigrant, refugee, or asylum seeker wrongly deported, exiled, or otherwise mistreated by this administration will be readmitted with an expedited path to citizenship. Send a plane to get them.
We can't undo the damage. But we can do something.
WE DON'T LIKE HIM EITHER DUDES POINT THAT SHIT AT X OKAY
This is monstrous. Just profoundly shameful behavior by our government.

A "Little Free Library" filled with only Merriam-Webster Dictionaries
Happy National Library Week to whoever did this.
Adorable black lab mix puppy in a slightly too small dog bed
Do you have a bigger bed at your house? I am looking for a forever home with a big boy bed
In case you need some motivation today.
Alt: a determined, biped dog retrieves his favorite ball from behind a chair.
Owen Wilson, the Labradoodle stretch between two very large chairs so he fits.
Justin the tiny black Chihuahua has a large marrow bone. He’s a tripod and it looks like he could be an orthopedic surgeon.
This might be the softest picture I have ever taken of Lucy. She also has one white whisker on her chin that I never noticed before. Maybe it’s one of Owen‘s.. They really are inseparable.
Keeper has smooth hair with one tiny clump standing straight up like an exclamation point!
1. It takes two sitting utensils to accommodate one Owen Wilson.
c. I’m sorry, Justin you cannot put a leg back on once you take it off.
-;.. Lucy is quite proud of herself. She recorded grievances in record time today.
$. Kieffer has a lightbulb moment.

Barry with baking ingredients. Including sprinkles because sprinkles are for winners.
Barry! People are getting baked on 4/20, not baking at 420°.
Big fluffy black and tan husky mix with bright blue eyes; she is lying on a wood kitchen floor, in the midst of a sunbeam, and she is smiling happily - all worn out.
goooood morning it is bright and cool and I woke up early, so we took a nice long loop around the neighborhood and saw *several* dog-friends + all the crows, so yes, tho she may be exhausted: Lucy Loved That Walk
"passport bros" are not at all new and they are not "frustrated with modern dating" they just want women who are completely subservient to them and have zero power in their own lives
Big fluffy black and tan husky mix with bright blue eyes, smiling on a sidewalk beside some pink tulips.
goooood morning it is chilly but bright, and we met our new next-door neighbor dog, who was very sweet and is now our new friend, so yes, 100%: Lucy Loved That Walk
It will never stop pissing me off how much trump is going to walk away from this presidency as a “real” billionaire in a way he never was before, and it is going to be solely because of the public office
you are not a violent abuser BECAUSE you have mental health issues. You can be a violent abuser who is ALSO mentally ill. The mental illness is not the cause of your domestic violence.
Panda the teeny black and white Chihuahua mix is photographed wearing a green plaid bandana, a yellow flowered hat, and tortoiseshell eyeglasses. She is blepping and side-eying and it's extremely cute and goobery
so Panda went to the groomer today
This week’s newsletter is… cranky. Equal opportunity cranky. I’ve got smoke for Sotomayor, Thomas, Platner, Swalwell, and especially Door Dash.
Big fluffy black and tan husky mix with bright blue eyes and a big smile, in front of a big green hedge.
goooood morning it is chilly but bright and we shared some snacks, got cuddles from some cleaning ladies, and saw a dog friend or two while we were out and about, so yes, as usual: Lucy Loved That Walk
You and Schumer could have pushed for a review of his govt contracts when you had the majority. You didn’t. Maybe stop doing that.
It's a sign of a failed society when it continues to platform people who consistently get big things wrong. We should not still be subjected to most of the people writing Op-Eds at the New York Times who spent DECADES getting everything about war AND peace wrong.
“It’s a couple of things that work beautifully in concert. First: no music. Audiences are so sophisticated, but what they’re not accustomed to is not being told how to feel,” Wyle says. “You take all that out and it forces a level of engagement where you’re now looking for clues within the frame of the screen, which forces you to look up from your phone. And I think that is extremely engaging, especially to young viewers who aren’t accustomed to being asked to participate in a nonpassive way in the viewing experience.
“Second point, shooting it with almost exclusively 50-millimeter or 65-millimeter lenses, which is the most comparable to the human eye—and only shooting from the point of view of a human being that’s present in this space. There are no cameras on gurney wheels going in the hallway. There’s no cameras on the ceiling looking down from a God point of view. You are limited to the perspective of a participant. You can look away, but you can’t leave, and it becomes an endurance test for you to stay on your feet as long as we’re on our feet. Which [brings me to my] third point: real time. Real time has an aggregate sense of tension that you don’t get in any other form of storytelling. What happened before is happening now, and these two things are going to add up to the next thing. And if we throw more ingredients into this cooker and keep ratcheting it up, it’s going to pop.”
Wyle makes eye contact for his next point, delivering it with a Robby-esque matter-of-factness. “Fourth point: The election went the other way,” he says with a shrug. “We could have been a really good show with a lot of nice things to say in a perfectly normal Kamala Harris universe. And instead we became almost a beacon of hope and humanity in an alternative universe. But in the midst of that, fifth point—this is essentially competence porn. You’re watching really smart, dedicated people do what only they know how to do at a level that you don’t know how to do it, and you’re so fucking glad that they’re there doing it, and compartmentalizing their own stuff to put your broken pieces back together. You’re so reassured by knowing that there are people out there that laugh and joke and have the ability to lock in like that.”
this is fucking unreal stuff from Noah Wyle on the magic of The Pitt. www.gq.com/story/noah-w...
