NEW: On top of all the cuts to legal entries, Trump (i.e. @uscisgov.bsky.social) slashed green card approvals by ~half in an effort to boost ICE arrests of legal immigrants. USCIS has *ended* humanitarian green cards, working with ICE to arrest pending applicants. www.cato.org/blog/uscis-c...

ICE is arresting delivery drivers at a San Diego military base. When you add it all up, the collapse in immigration looks like this: a decline of roughly 50K for illegal (even including the people arrested and not released) and a decline of about 132K for legal. Over 70% of the cut in immigration has come from LEGAL immigration.
The Trump administration views DACA recipients as deportable as any undocumented immigrant. For my latest, I talked to immigrants without permanent legal status who entered the country as children and spent months in ICE detention.

Trump’s DOJ is now offering an unprecedented settlement that experts say could target the very people who were harmed by the developer. With @propublica.org:
I wrote about third-country deportations and how Trump is using bribes, threats, and rewards to create an expanding international network of concentration camps to go along with the domestic one.

Q: How would it not be a war crime to strike Iran's bridges and power plants?
Trump: They're animals.

NYT: President Trump on Sunday escalated his threats to bomb Iranian power plants within the next two days and taunted the country’s leaders in an expletive-laden social media post. Mr. Trump, seemingly emboldened by the successful U.S. rescue of an American airman in Iran over the weekend, issued a new ultimatum to Iran to end its chokehold over the Strait of Hormuz, a major Persian Gulf waterway for the transport of oil and gas, by Apr. 6. If Iran’s government did not, he said, U.S. forces would target the country’s energy infrastructure, which supplies power for millions of civilians. “Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one, in Iran. There will be nothing like it!!!” Mr. Trump wrote on social media. The president has previously postponed his deadline to attack twice and the Omani foreign ministry said on Sunday that officials had discussed how to reopen the Strait of Hormuz with Iranian counterparts without reaching a definitive agreement. “Praise be to Allah,” Mr. Trump added, before signing off in all caps.
The NYT literally rewrote Trump saying “open the fuckin’ strait, you crazy bastards, or you’ll be living in hell” as:
“Mr. Trump issued a new ultimatum to Iran to end its chokehold over the Strait of Hormuz”

Why would the US/Israelis bother striking a road bridge? The B1 road bridge was in the final stages of construction and not open to road traffic. Therefore, it had no military value. Conclusion? This was a punitive and disproportionate attack on civilian infrastructure: a potential war crime.
