Thanks Alina. It's a well known photographer's viewpoint, but conditions plus high tide were right. ๐

A minimalist image of swirling waves around a line of beach groynes just poking their tops above the sea. In the far distance is the long, dark, straight stone pier, with the red and white Berwick Lighthouse sticking up at the end. The sky is a moody canvas of blue tones, the same as the water.
Some more long exposure swooshery from Spittal Beach, #Northumberland . In the distance the long pier and lighthouse at Berwick-onTweed.

My kind of ICM. Lovely ๐
Lovely the subtle light Allen..๐
Many thanks Allen. One of my personal favs. Sometimes grim weather days can still make good pics. ๐
Glad you've enjoyed my images and thanks for the likes, and comments.
Thank you Allen
Thank you Rhonda. It's a beautiful island.๐
A wide stream of rippled water cuts across a golden sand beach, flowing out to sea, on the side of of small bay, cut between rocky headlands. In the foreground black sediment forms intricate, sweeping patterns.
More coastal magic from #Lewis last November: on the north west coast, the small, but perfectly formed beach inlet of Bagh Dhail Beag. Sediment from a freshwater stream leaves behind stunning patterns at low tide.

A sliver of low lying hills form the end of the sea loch, lying across the centre of the image. Sandwiched between a glowing pink sky and reflections in the water in the foreground. The sky is mostly clear, except for a dark blue low cloud base on the horizon.
Pink Glow over Loch Eireasort, #HarrisandLewis before dawn last November.
Being a night owl I struggle to get up early enough for #dawn light in Scotland for most of the year, but in winter I cope! It is worth it. Must try harder. ๐

Looks good. Grey day, getting windier here in Argyll.โน๏ธ
A walk along the cliffs on a bright sunny blue sky day. The view looks down onto a small inlet behind the eroded cliffs. A narrow passage allows the sea forms a stony beach covered by clear blue water. On the other side the small rocky island is a narrow section of rock joined to the mainland. On the horizon a tiny white yacht sails the calm sea.

Thank you, and I've learnt a new word! ๐
An earth and stone pathway, (an old Exmoor lane), leads away into the background, bordered on one side by old beech trees growing on a earth/stone bank. On the other side is an earth bank covered in patches of green moss. The beech leaves are bright green, and the sunshine dapples through the leaves and an overhanging branch creating shadows on the walkway.
I recently put together an audio visual of my images taken when I lived in North Devon, for the camera club. Realised I missed the spring greens of beech trees on #Exmoor. Must return. Spring's not really arrived in Scotland yet!

In the distance stands a lighthouse at the end of a dark, long breakwater pier wall. Sunlit, with its bright red top, and horizontal bottom stripe, it stands tall against a darkening blue, late afternoon sky, with hints of white cloud. In the foreground there is nothing but a stormy blue sea with streaks of foamy, white, swirling waves and surf, accentuated by a long exposure image, forming a contrast with solid lighthouse structure.
#Berwick #Lighthouse 13.5m high at the end of the 877m long breakwater, is exposed to the worst of the North Sea gales on the #Northumberland coast. Completed in 1826, it is a major landmark, not least in the iconic painting by L S Lowry.

Yes, and when very young, by a fliat pulled by a horse. Folk used to shovel up manure for gardens. I lived in Birmingham, UK. ๐คฃ
๐คฃ Still do both.
Forest in the mist.
They're not kidding when they say it's a Temperate Rain Forest.
A black and white image overlooking the ruined walls and ditches of an iron age village settlement about 45 metres across. A circular stone wall and ditch is featured in the foreground, and continues towards the back on the opposite side. The remains of a circular stone broch tower, the main dwelling, stands in the centre, surrounded by the remaining stone slabs of other dwellings. The late summer sky consists of light, fluffy clouds and open sky.

#Brochs are unique to #Scotland. The impressive Broch of Gurness village on the #Orkney mainland dates back to 500-200BC, the Middle Iron Age. It consists of deep ditches and ramparts, plus a circular broch tower.

Thank you Linda. So glad you enjoy my images. A privilege to make them in such amazing places. ๐
Beautiful light and mood. Classic.
Many thanks Ronald. One of my favs too. Plus has done well for me at club competitions. ๐
At 16 had Saturday job at Woolworths, then upgraded to a shoe shop which was heaven!
The centre foreground is dominated by dark streaks in striking, flowing patterns made by soil deposited on a white sand beach at low tide. They stretch into the mid-distance to a small group of low, flat rocks. The top third of the image reveals a calm, blue-grey sky, featuring the rounded hill of the island of Taransay, and the distant Harris mountains in dull light. Both are reflected in the remaining flat calm water from the river that flows to the sea separating the beaches of Luskentyre.
Some mid-week calm. The ever changing, amazing patterns when the tide goes out on #Seilebost beach on #Harris

Rolling waves in the middle distance break into gentle eddies and ripples onto a golden sand beach. The sky has tonal ridges of blue and grey sky.

Presumably polls are based on people's voting preference ๐ค, not taking into account any tactical voting. More relevant in a by-election, but no doubt will be used in a general election too. How do polls account for this? Or not?
๐คฃ Looks like you need a Highland pony as accessory!
People who moved to the UAE for tax purposes are now, I assume, closely examining a map of the region.
I used to dance to this at the disco. ๐๐
Many thanks Jilly.
Thank you so much for taking the time to comment. Glad you enjoy them. ๐
