I dont even think its as much of an individual issue so much as platforms and conventions and Popularfurs that creates this push for a cookie cutter version of what can actually take off and thrive both online and irl.

So dysphoria is one element of the conversation
But also I do think there is something to be said about how mostly only two extreme body types are platformed and both are generally two types of cis men. This has become better as years have gone on but is still a prevelant theme.

Sometimes I do feel trans visibility is lacking in the furry community. Probably in part that people use their sonas/OCs as an escape from real world troubles including dysphoria by simply drawing themself in a body that more accurately represents their gender. Commenting further thoughts below ⬇️
