I was rather hoping it was a large suppository...

Also highly plausible!

Promissory estoppel!!

I think Brian's behaviour is all too plausible. He's behaving like the entitled patriarch he is
#thearchers
Well surprise surprise, Brian's changed his mind. More fool you Adam for believing him in the first place. You were being far too pushy anyway.
I wonder if Brian's promise is legally binding?
#thearchers
He did! I might have behaved like that when I was about 14 or 15. Probably shouldn't have been drinking at that age!

If I were Alice, Rex's behaviour last night and his subsequent insistence on apologising would be a deal-breaker. Sorry Rex the relationship's off!
Also, how old is Rex? About 16?? Also pretty juvenile behaviour between Kirsty & Helen who are both old enough to act their age.
#thearchers
Did Chris get Rex drunk deliberately, knowing that he would go back to Alice and make a complete arse of himself? I kind of hope so!
#thearchers
I recall that Adam "borrowed" some money from the business and neglected to pay it back until it was noticed. Which is theft. Has Brian forgiven him for that or has he just forgotten?
#thearchers
Alice realises what a tosser Rex is and goes back to Chris
#thearchers
Rex!
#thearchers
Rex just shut the fuck up. Don't dig a bigger hole than you can help!

It's bad enough when guilty

I NEVER went to any!

Now that Brian has confessed all to Lillian, does that make her an accessory after the fact, and liable to prosecution if she does not take this evidence to the police?

I'm 67. I think they like all men of my age to be on statins just to be on the safe side regardless of how they present in terms of their health.
I don't think I'm that needy but think looking back, she couldn't handle my anxiety on top of her own concern. And she had the lump, not me! I like to think I'm a supportive bloke, but you can feel so useless on those situations
#thearchers
Yes, I think they completely overdid it with both Ruth and Stella being there. I think they could have handled it by being a lot more low-key about it all.
That said, I think they have done a good job with Ruth. She's been very caring and sensitive about the whole thing #thearchers
When my partner had a lump in her breast and went to see the consultant, I do remember being extremely anxious. I would have gone with her had she asked me to, but she wanted to go on her own.
#thearchers
He isn't going to do that, he's a reformed character now and soon to be dad with grown up responsibilities. Thought no one ever....
#thearchers
My surgery is always trying to push statins on me. Do they get a kickback?
#thearchers
I didn't detect that at all!
#thearchers
Yes I wish he would get on with it!
#thearchers
You are right. It shouldn't be a mitigating factor. And he obviously thought about it before doing it. He could have killed him, or caused permanent brain damage. Brian is completely wrong in covering for him - I mean morally - and so hypocritical given what George did to Alice.
#thearchers
Yes me too. And I love the discussions here too. Both respectful and thought provoking
#thearchers
Bluesky down?
I posed the question for discussion mainly. I accept that what Ruairi did was very bad. Both events pretty appalling tbh.
#thearchers
Nay!
#thearchers
Is it worse? What George did was very calculating, and he was happy to see Alice go down for it. Ruairi was provoked by George's quite frankly vile behaviour in the pub. What he did wasn't right, but was the result of anger rather than cold blooded self preservation

"Oh I only wanted to swindle the church for you, Chelsea love!"
I'm not buying it, sorry.
