This went in a completely different direction to what I was expecting but I loved it even more!

Of course, you can see it the other way round, with bedroom dynamics swapping those in public: Draco gains power and control in the bedroom that he lacks out of it and Hermione lets go of the power that she wields on a daily basis. Both work but you see the latter faaaaar more than the former.

Obv this is a headcanon and everyone can agree or disagree, but I see Draco as someone not naturally dominant and naturally drawn to stronger personalities. Meanwhile Hermione has spent her life feeling on the defensive for being Too Much and here is a guy who will worship her forcefulness.

I'm not a big fan of the trend of every relationship having dom/sub under or overtones in fanfic, but I simply cannot see Draco as a dom. I know it's popular because MLs being big and strong and burly and dominating is popular, but that guy wants Hermione to walk over him and then he will thank her.

Had a dream last night I clicked on a fic with an intriguing summary only to discover that it was about an American transfer student to Hogwarts who was really pretty and had been betrothed to Draco since childhood. Called Beth. What a strange time in my subconscious!
