Hey Glitch, I've watched Glitch's content for quite a while now. Really appreciate the great work, effort, and thought put into every production! A couple years ago, I joined a friend group that has ties with modmad, the creator of the webcomic 'The Property of Hate'. I've read a few of the chapters, and it's a really brainwarping and fun adventure! Still gotta read the rest, but it's been going on for 14 years. So it's a really tall read. You may have seen the concern raised by a number of mod's fans about the character 'Mr. Puzzles', an SMG4 character. Puzzles has significantly large similarities to mod's character 'RGB', a character that appears on the very first page of the comic. And has been a continued presence in the comic throughout. I've seen the comparisons. And while RGB and Puzzles are incredibly different in character and backstory, I can't deny the design similarities. mod has shown screenshots of anonymous Tumblr messages. These anonymous users are harassing them, threatening to cancel them, and wishing death upon them. This behavior has supposedly gone on for as long as Mr. Puzzles has been around. Compounded by the loss of their father, mod was contemplating suicide at one point. https://www.tumblr.com/modmad/812256923227488256/ Reminder, this harassment is over mod's supposed plagiarism of Mr. Puzzles. Plagiarism that couldn't have happened, given that RGB is over a decade older. Now we're here at the start of a new series being created by ZAMination, with Mr. Puzzles at the head of it. mod is currently terrified that this new series will open up a new door of harassment. I'm well aware that you are NOT the show runners for 'Calling All Villains'. However, you have used the Mr. Puzzles character in the past. And SMG4 used to be a major part of Glitch Productions. ZAMination have supposedly been ignoring modmad's private messages. So if anyone has the ability to get in touch with ZAM and/or SMG4 and get them to answer back, it's you.

This whole thing could be easily solved by ZAM/SMG4 making some slight design changes to Mr. Puzzles. And if that can't happen, the LEAST that could be done (and probably SHOULD be done, regardless) is an official public statement from anyone involved that sets the record straight. Telling people that RGB was around a lot longer that Puzzles. That harassment and threats are WRONG, and that anyone who stooped to that level should be ashamed. I know, sounds obvious. Seems like something that could be found out by some simple Google searches. And we're SUPPOSED to be taught to treat people with respect. But sometimes, the internet doesn't like doing the footwork, and would rather believe misinformation instead. And sadly, some folks need a reminder to NOT be garbage human beings.

And yeah. I'm not naïve. This won't get rid of the haters. If anything, more edgelords will see the public statements and take the opportunity to crawl outta the muck and harass mod further. But at the very least, there will be easy, official records that anyone could direct people to that will dispel any rumors or allegations of plagiarism. Average Joes won't be fooled by the troll machine. PLEASE see if there's anything you can do to help. I've been in voice calls and DMs with modmad for over a year now. They're a great person. They don't deserve to have their passion project of 14 years smothered out. Thanks a bunch, Bit-B

Sending anyone harassment over the crime of 'characters look too similar' is absolutely vile and I hope anyone doing this gets a type of shame that keeps them up at night.

Hope they contact mod soon. There's too many similarities that I think they should go touch base at the very least.

I wanted to get a video of this ghost crab but every time I got close to their hole they scuttled back in, so I tried getting clever with it. I made a little sandcastle and shoved my phone into it, hit record, and walked away. Crab was VERY suspicious of this addition to their environment.
