In this month’s episode of Supercontext, we discuss the 1969 film THE MAGIC CHRISTIAN. This anarchic comedy was based on a Terry Southern novel and championed by Peter Sellers, but it seemed to mark the start of a decline for both their fortunes.

#12 - Bully and threaten national media to stifle free speech and control information, planting puppets in newsrooms and buying off the corporations that run them. Simultaneously loosen restrictions on the biggest tech companies, emboldening their platforms for disinformation campaigns.

#9 - Add chaos to the market, resulting in an increased cost of living to everyone but the most wealthy, driving up unemployment.
#8 - Weaken funding and policy for health, environment, and safety, impairing the social safety net to make the population sicker, both physically and mentally.
