Today is the 251st anniversary of Paul Revere's midnight ride to warn the Minutemen of approaching British troops.

I want to take a moment to share an excerpt from the Declaration of Independence's grievances against King George III.

Remind you of anyone?

Ossoff: I don’t know who placed those trades, but I’ll tell you this: the SEC better find out. And if they won’t, when you elect this new majority in Congress and you give us gavels and subpoenas, we will.

Three examples that show the lack of integrity at HHS under RFK Jr:

1. Claimed that 10 kids died because of the COVID19 vaccine, never produced data.

2. Believe that glyphosate causes cancer, say nothing when Trump orders more.

3. Say that leucovorin treats autism, no FDA approval for this.

I’m going to Captain Obvious this, but Trump appears to have gotten himself into a situation that he can’t control.

And this he cannot abide.

I think today the U.S. is much closer to “the worst that could happen” than we ever have been.

The price of lithium-ion batteries has fallen by 99% since 1991 Representative estimate of the price of battery cells for lithium-ion batteries, across all major cell chemistries. Prices are in US dollars per kilowatt-hour, adjusted for inflation.

At a time when everything seems bad, here’s a bit of good news. In 1991, lithium-ion batteries cost around $9,200 per kilowatt-hour — 33 years later, they cost just $78. This helps us move towards electrification of transport and energy storage in homes

The LaGuardia Crash Will Be Blamed on One Controller. That's Not the Whole Story. 3,000 controllers short. WWII-era radar still in use. And a lone controller managing two emergencies at midnight. This was preventable.

Two pilots dead at LaGuardia. A lone controller managing two simultaneous emergencies. The FAA is 3,000 controllers short. We will blame the human. We should fix the system.

5/ And on the Strait of Hormuz, they had NO PLAN. I can't go into more detail about how Iran gums up the Strait, but suffice it say, right now, they don't know how to get it safely back open.

Which is unforgiveable, because this part of the disaster was 100% foreseeable.

In 2020 I read an article that compared Trump's administration to Jimmy Carter's, which was so disastrous that it ended the FDR era of politics and began the Reagan era. I would like to propose that this hypothesis was not actually disproven, just 8 years premature.

I find it abhorrent when Americans only focus on American lives lost. Over 100 schoolgirls were killed when a missile hit their school in southern Iran.

The entire premise of America is that all people are created equal. When we ignore that key tenet, Americans lose all moral standing.

Romance scammers are trying to convince victims to open home equity loans, research finds The loans targeted by scammers, called Home Equity Lines of Credit (HELOCs), are ones that a bank will extend to a homeowner, using their home as collateral.

Romance scammers are increasingly convincing Americans to take out lines of credit against their own houses — or stealing their homeowners’ personal information and taking out those loans directly, according to a team of researchers.

On Nov. 16, a mental health counselor recorded in Kamilla’s medical records that her mother reported the girl had lost her appetite after being “served food that contained worms.”

A week later, the couple said, children were told to gather in the gym for what they believed would be a Thanksgiving celebration. Excitement spread as families saw tables set with turkey, sandwiches, pastries and pies, they said. The children waited expectantly. But when a parent asked when the celebration would begin, Oksana said, staff told them the holiday meal was for employees, not detainees.

The children, she said, watched despondently as the feast was packed away.

On Thanksgiving, the immigrant children held at the Dilley detention center gathered in the gym for what they thought was a holiday feast.

The kids salivated over a spread of turkey, sandwiches, pastries and pies, a family told me.

But the food wasn’t for detainees — it was for the staff.
