Printing w/ my husband & awesome helper, (we make a good press team!). When using a treadle, even on a well-oiled platen press, we oldies get worn, so I appreciate him running it too. These are simple notecards on 220lb cotton paper using a transparent tint. The deboss of the flowers “chef’s kiss”.
Christina Koch being greeted by her dog after returning from space is the dose of Monday hopium we all needed 💕
My weakness: when science, comfort and cuteness collide. Adorable!
When craftsmanship and a brain teaser combines; fun!

What surreal beauty
Photo of us, two friends protesting together and dog Murphy. Protest signs read, “Democracy needs your courage“ with the words “0ur rage” highlighted in red within the words. Also “women’s rights are human rights” with the statue of liberty featured. The dog is wearing a sign which reads, “I wanna lick ICE too”. No
Go team! Protesting together with family, including my parents (this being their first protest), friends and our dog Murphy.

If you’re ever in my neck of the woods, you’re welcome to stop by my shop. Thank you again!www.mysticdesign.net
I would absolutely come to your class if I was closer, unfortunately, I’m up in Colfax near Truckee on your way to Tahoe. I plan on making the trip down there someday though. I worked with Lloyd Bowcott getting a part for the CP. He’s restored some of the presses at the museum.
Thank you so much for taking the time to give me such a great answer, I really appreciate it. I have been getting polymer plates at about $.60 a square inch. You are the first printer I’ve heard using a laser to create plates, so I was excited. I will definitely look further into obtaining a laser!
I have a C&P platin press and have wondered if I can use a laser cutter to make plates. Your prints are great! If you don’t mind me asking, what kind of laser printer are you using? I would like to do the same.
Also, I really want to visit Carson and see the museum someday!
I love Bernadette’s sentiment. In this society, I often feel that way about my art. And honestly, if society dictates that creativity is second to the gods of profit, why not fill the unseen cracks with more meaningful authenticity? Why chase a mirage but never quench your soul?
Excellent summary
When I leave a ramshackle used bookshop without having acquired any books, I feel like Galadriel. I have passed the test and may now diminish into the west.
Yes, and in the long form it’s even more yes:
“We must do without hope,’ he said. “At least we may yet be avenged. Let us gird ourselves and weep no more! Come! We have a long road, and much to do.”
- J.R.R. Tolkien, The Lord of the Rings
Your post reminded me of one of my favorite comics that I use as wallpaper on my computer. My current mood is the same
Let's meet Micromelo undatus, also called "miniature melo", a species of "bubble shell" sea snail.
She's got a little art deco backpack!
These snails live in shallow waters at locations around the world (Hawaii, South Africa, Japan).
A beautiful moment captured.
The sphinx moths in our area often come out at dusk. They are especially attracted to the four o’clock flowers.
Apparently the short story has turned into an epic.
A lesson in creative & motivating community building via channeling anger.
Thank you. Some of the best responses are being made by Colbert.
“Project Plowshare shows how something intended to improve … can unwittingly do the opposite if it fails to fully consider the social, political, and environmental consequences. It also underscores public resentment & opposition can stop projects in their tracks.”

In 1957 Project Plowshare advocated for using nuclear weapons to move mountains & make harbors.
This is the way.
This is my kind of nature humor. Thank you to Rosemary for the chuckle.
Excellent article describing where we are at in the efforts to identify the AI fakery within the fire hose stream of information we ever more increasingly must wade through. At this point, it seems an impossible task.
News, social media, & advertising’s insatiable need for attention is all-consuming & constant — humanity’s dysfunction on full display in an unending stream. Of late, art and nature are helping me feel human again. Instead, I will find a real stream to look for fish and contemplate what matters.
Yes. Fist bump 👊
