I think Virgil's all comes down to: Safe. Virgil wants him and the people he cares about to be safe.

If he was immortal, Lucifer would never lose him. He's "The Devil" than Lucifer too, as if HE was God, then he could make them safe.

He and The Chairman have a little more in common than he thinks.

Gandalf had a similar scare, and they had me switch his food for urinary tract health. It’s fairly common for older male cats.

Gandalf never had problems after I switched to this. Your vet would know best, but something to ask maybe.
