I know this is bad SM form, but kittens arriving in the the house, may be the best thing since crumpets and butter were put together.
Absolute joy having Bird Theatre from Tottori Japan at CatStrand.
Working with Tom Pow, The Galloway Agreement and Stephen McCole. If all goes to plan Towa Mura will be touring next year.
If you want to get an idea of what the event is about, read this review of our Edinburgh International Book Festival gig. edinburghmusicreview.com/reviews/945t2b…
Great write up about my pal Inna. Having her and her son Andrew around has been one definite good in a slightly difficult couple of years.

End of year festive feels.
Hannah and Anna perform at CatStrand.
Hannah Rarity & Anna Massie bringing CatStrand's year to a tinsely close.
Our 99th event of the year at a rough count, getting a rare double encore.
There's a bonkers amount of affection for CatStrand Youth Players Panto, which starts to take over the building from September. Wonderfully daft with some brilliant performances & amazing set built by Glenkens young folk.
It is really good news, but the funds available still represent 60% of the request. MYF decisions can only lie between rejecting 40% of applicants or awarding everyone 40% less than their application. Given this reality facing CS. There must now be a focus is on other viable routes.
If 40% of applicants are going to be unsuccessful. Surely The Open Fund can't be cut off as a route to ongoing funding.
Don't get me wrong. This is good news, and I don't underestimate the work that's gone on behind the scenes to get here. The MYF now has 54m of the 86m ask of 281 orgs. Normally this would be good odds, but I'm not aware of anyone applying that could be cut without significant consequences.
Slightly startling fact of the day.
Trad Awards were fun- an impressive amount of people, musicians and tech in one room.
hello from CatStrand. nice one!
That's lovely to hear. Those curries do a lot of good!
We loved Battery Park at CatStrand. There has to be a way to give more security and certainty to people producing good work.
Heading Inverness way, for a few day meandering and the #scotstradmusicawards
CatStrand for #venueoftheyear
Exhausted by the constant cliff edge, that working in the arts or pretty much any third sector organisation.
Our first Book Week Scotland event. New Scots set out to celebrate writers who have made Scotland their home. Iyad Hayatleh's devastating testimony of loss and destruction is not something I'll forget.
This seems worth a shot. #sofarsogood
