I've listened to and been a fan of the @npr politics podcast for 10 years now. But listening to them fellate the ghost of Charlie Kirk this morning was kind of sickening. Just because he's dead doesn't mean we have to pretend he wasn't a garbage human.
Political violence, as horrible as it is, is the inevitable result of a political system that's engineered to silence the voices of the majority (through gerrymandering), and an economic system (unrestrained capitalism) that profits from turning people against each other.
