When her body was moved years after her death, it was found to be incorrupt. Her tomb became the site of pilgrimages.
Agnes was canonized by Pope Benedict XIII in 1726.

Agnes was noted for her visions:
She held the infant Christ in her arms & received Holy Communion from an angel.
She was also known to experience levitations.

At the convent in Montepulciano, she gained a reputation for performing miracles; people suffering from mental & physical ailments were cured.

About 1300, the people of Montepulciano built a new convent in order to lure Agnes back to them.
She established the convent under the Dominican rule & governed there until her death in 1317, at the age of 49.

She was born c.1268 & at the age of 9 entered a Franciscan monastery in Montepulciano, near her home in Gracchiano-Vecchio.
Four years later she assisted in the foundation of a new convent in Procena. At 15 she became the head of the nuns there.
