Religious fundamentalists have increasingly embedded themselves in our political system. They seek a government shaped by Christian ideology, from local school boards all the way to the presidency, and they believe they are close to achieving that vision. We cannot allow that to happen.
The war on public schools, including systematic underfunding & shifting funding away from public schools, especially to charter and private schools, is part of the mission of re-segregating America.

Yes I’m always disappointed when I meet people who sneer at reading fiction. I read everything. Fiction, nonfiction, memoirs, biography, history, science…. It’s a big old beautiful world out there.
