Last bit: only ONE licensed song (thank god) and Brian Tyler kills it with the score. Bowser Jr is a more entertaining villain than his father. Fight scenes are set up extremely well.

Is it mind blowing? Nowhere near. Is it as bad as that review claiming it’s AI? Nah. It’s serviceable, and don’t get me wrong—we should still be asking for better—but it’s hardly the trash fire some are making it out to be.

Still think it moved fast (but more digestible than the first), VERY LIGHT character development, firmly believe the story should have been tweaked to fit the World name better and saved Galaxy for 3, but at its core it’s a fun time and I know it’ll get kids to play more Mario (and other titles).
