Reframing my GM mindset from “challenge comes from threatening the PCs’ lives” to “challenge comes from threatening their goals” has made my experience at the table more fun.

The tension can come from the chance of them completing their goals rather than the possibility of death.

As expected, of the Devil - Episode 2 has me by the throat. But one thing that got my brain working was a scene in which Diamani, Morgan's associate who owns a cocktail lounge, talks Serra through making a cocktail.

Far away things have less contrast and less saturation. Compare a tree nearby to a tree down a road. It's done here using simple screen layers. EMERY: That's subtle.

it turns out i really enjoy making educational posts about the comics making process and ways of thinking. here's another one featuring characters from my graphic novel in a very anachronistic art museum.

If we can only have art from people who "aren't in it for the money" that means we can only have art from privileged middle-class dilettantes. Making art being a viable career is responsible for nearly all worthwhile art, and if it's not a viable career any more we will get drastically less of it.

There is no line in here that actually did anything.
