It was so funny!!!
When we give the puppy a bath he always comes out looking like Greg Brady…
A visit to NYC isn’t complete without these….(matzo ball not shown - having been eaten)
Got to roll the big die at the @twentysidedtavern.bsky.social last night. Great fun!
Since I live in California, I am not used to “weather”. This makes me very appreciative of hot chocolate!
Hey TTRPG folks. I know a lot of indie games (and some mainstream ones) use player narrative control. I’ve been toying with giving my home group similar “powers” with some success.
Anyone else use it in your 5e/ToV/PF games?
I’d love a copy of that! My players are currently in Metrol trying to avoid a civil war among the Lord of Blades followers
@neilhimself.neilgaiman.com - Not sure if you are ever in the US for Gencon, but if you are, we’d love to have you play in a Kobold Press rpg game.
Another idea I had is follow up questions.
It’s an okay answer if a player tells you their character’s village was destroyed by mimics (or something).
But the GM could then ask a few follow up questions specifically about that event. Like, “who died?”, “who lived?”, or “who do you blame?”
I would be concerned with putting too many walls up around an answer but a list of choices or examples is a great idea
I’m more talking about the types of questions on a character questionnaire that would be most helpful to a GM. For example, “why did your character decide to become an adventurer?”
Okay TTRPG and fantasy writing folks. I’m working up a truly useful character questionnaire and would love input. Usually these things don’t provide the GM with usable info and/or items/NPCs/locations/plots to build a game from.
So what questions would you most value in a character questionnaire?
Not sure what’s happening here but I certainly approve of all the cheese
Achievement Unlocked! Got both shoes on. Woooo!
Happy Bday James!!!! @jamesjhaeck.bsky.social
Not sure who need to see this, but someone needs to make a iOS port for Starflight.
Tome of Heroes, Tome of Beasts 3, Midgard Worldbook
This is cool. Three of my books made this top 20 third-party D&D book list!

My view as I cook dinner: the family is decorating the tree
OMG - That’s so great!!!!
One of my favorites is “Fortress Unvanquishable, Save for Sacnoth”
I would 100% read a book (or watch a show) about Delirium just going about their day.
If I apply that metric, I’m half pilgrim and half Chinese
Curious about the new spellcrafting in Elyse’s Guide to Magic? Here’s a video of myself giving a sneak peek.
