@jamesintrocaso.bsky.social do we know yet what the license for Crows will look like?
The game sounds awesome, and if the license is as open as Draw Steel's I'd love to add some Crows-specific stuff to our online tools.

This looks amazing!
NASA is just so cool
Absolutely, and at this point my table is very used to "alright don't be surprised if I change this later"
That'd be the plan. A strict (and ideally not-too-vague) trigger, and a predefined turn. If the trigger doesn't happen or you can't take the turn you predefined, it doesn't work.
For simplicity's sake I might limit it to an Action instead of a turn, especially since there's more precedent for that.
I'm toying around with how to make a D&D character feel like they have foresight, in a way that's actually fun.
Current idea: once at the start of combat, they write down a trigger that (if it happens) lets them take another turn. Like holding an action, but for free.
Is that crazy?

Happy Easter, #ttrpg community!
Celebrate Spring the #dnd way by throwing the Easter Bunny at your players in your next session. It's cute, it's legendary, and it's out for blood.

Your players will have a great time... if they survive.

My most common are Wikimedia for public domain stuff, DriveThru for paid stuff
Iβm so inspired by what the tenaciously imaginative folks in the indie TTRPG sphere are creating everyday. Itβs really a marvel.
I have no idea yet if it's a good idea yet, but the Circle of the Titan from the new "Villainous Options" UA sounds like a hell of a lot of fun!

It was four different dice!
When you craft an epic and dangerous encounter and then one of your players rolls four nat-20s in a row.

New Feature - Ignoring Monsters
Our Encounter Builder βnow lets you ignore monsters from an encounter's calculations. This is especially useful for 2014 encounters due to the XP multiplier, and the tool will suggest monsters to ignore.
Give it a try: https://redcap.press/encounters

When one of your players casting Dominate Person on a bad guy and orders them to "use your most powerful attack on that enemy," then finding out that the dominated bad guy has Fireball and the enemy target is right in the middle of the party.

Quick little quality of life update to our Map Explorer:
You can now show the colors of each leg in the "Your Journey" overview table, rather than just in that leg's dedicated "travel mode selection" card.
Play around with it here: redcap.press/map-explorer

Broodmother - CR 8
Bloated and slow, the broodmother sleeps at the center of her web. A sudden vibration signals the approach of an intruder. She stirs. Tonight, her children will feast.
A terrifying monstrosity... with a surprise ending.

Don't panic if your players do something unexpected that completely upends everything you've been planning.
You don't need to come up with all the ramifications of what they did on the spot, you only need to buy time till the end of the session.
(Plus, that's what makes the game fun!)

This will 100% be worth checking out, Perils & Princesses is an absolute blast!
Oh yeah that looks great, I'll give that a try. Thanks!
I was looking at that one! It's honestly currently the front-runner but I'm worried it gets a little hard to read when it's bolded.
Vollkorn is another that's subtler, but not quite as evocative.
