I think it was called Heretic? With Hugh Grant in full creepy mode
In the wake of that film I watched a few videos from former LDS woman, and Wow, utterly unhinged (she also did a fascinating and awful “did your religion do this” comparison video with a former JW chap).
My poor aunt’s middle name was Brown.
I'm just going to gently ask @jolyon.goodlawproject.org if he would take a look at this, with the Equality Act (and data privacy) in mind ... because this is just appalling.
Am looking at wool duvets for heat regulation (we got one for Eldest and they say it’s good).
Viruses do strange things to my sense of taste and smell. Cut grass smelling of battery acid, regular tea tasting sort of burnt, having to leave a room if someone cuts up a cucumber (that one receded, thank heavens). So I manage with decaf earl grey.
I may have to cadge a bag to see if I can tolerate it, after the “not-covid” of 2019 I haven’t dared try regular decaf tea bc of the disappointment.
(Sometimes I smell the regular tea and feel sad. Bloody taste buds!)
Do you fancy giving Labour a right shoeing on May 7th?
Bung these lovelies a fiver. Maybe even join them. 💚 #Greens

Given that a lot of the organisations providing support to ND folks are charities, who have enough on their plate, I’d have thought they’d have flagged this as pointless and cruel too.
It is possible, according to the person who coined the term (Kassiane Asasumasu), but it’s also a term that a person can choose to identify with or not themselves. It’s not a medical designation and it’s not something someone else can impose on an individual. And also, fucking hell!
OMG I was a teen, but watched it on New Year Eve when my folks were all out at an aunt’s house. I had to phone them up afterwards, they thought it was hilarious
Same. Started wearing crucifixes, despite being an evolving atheist.
Lordy, I saw the second film (the proper second one) as an adult, and that still freaks me out.
I wasn’t allowed to watch Bambi bc my mother was so traumatised by it. Still haven’t seen it, and I’m 55.
That was essentially why eighties kids are such a mess/so self reliant. We were raised on this kind of nightmare.
Salem’s Lot, on TV, over two nights, when I was 11 or 12.
Definitely! I’d also like at least a part share in a van, a Transit would do, as long as it’s red.
I’m guessing “the power of prayer” was heavily involved too?
I’ve been on that river, fucking terrifying*. I developed a strong dislike of crocodiles from that trip.
* nothing happened but I never want to be on or in water with those two animals again.
It reminds me a lot of an aunt’s experience with #MS, losing function, gaining some back, but not all, over and over again.
One simple question though:
Why are we restricting the freedom of our young people to express themselves & discover the world, and NOT regulating the platforms instead?
:(
Greyhound. Like horse/cat only smaller/bigger.
Both (there’s room for both in my life)
But some of us are off to Wales tomorrow, to get some rain
Not sure about our attic, but the Stym (south facing) was over 23 yesterday evening
I’ve reached the stage where it has to be written by hand to count enough. I can use my phone to make an interim note, but it won’t stick, so it has to go down in the paper planner
My uncle developed the photos for the moon landings, in the UK ☺️ my brother still has a couple of them.
