My Akerman colleagues and I are following closely the potential impacts of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act on the clean energy sector. Read below for our initial assessment.

It’s not just Medicaid on the chopping block. If Trump succeeds in repealing the IRA, it will increase the likelihood of a recession due to loss of jobs and investment.

Now he’s trying to stop funding for the Democrats! I am worried Trump’s declining approval rating won’t matter because we won’t have free and fair midterms. Seems like the Republicans in Congress are counting on that, too.

Katie Cashman and Ilhan Omar photos with text: “As the Chair of the Climate & Infrastructure Committee, Council Member Cashman is making sure Minneapolis is ready for the challenges - and opportunities - presented by the climate crisis and our transition to a green economy. While she is such a climate champion, she's also focused on core priorities for her ward like authoring an ordinance that makes it easier to convert unused office space into housing - a win-win for our downtown revitalization! I am grateful to have Council Member Cashman represent me in City Hall, and I am excited to cast my ballot for her in November.”
It is an honor to be endorsed by my Congresswoman @ilhanmn.bsky.social. Rep. Omar has been a key partner in advocating for a better future for all. Her support for key federal legislation like the Inflation Reduction Act was crucial for Minneapolis (1/2)
Rep. Sykes is committed to keeping more money in your pockets. The Inflation Reduction Act saved #OH13 constituents over $10 million in 2024 alone. Congress must continue to protect Americans’ hard-earned benefits.
Chart shows between 70% and 86% support for tax credits related to clean energy production, clean energy investment, home electrification / efficiency, new and used electric vehicles, and EV charging stations
The University of Maryland has a new national survey of Americans about support of key tax credits from the Inflation Reduction Act.
It finds that the clean energy tax credits are overwhelmingly popular among Americans in general, including Republican voters.
The Inflation Reduction Act, signed by former President Joe Biden in August 2022, unleashed a torrent of new clean energy projects.
But now, under President Trump, the trend has started to go in reverse:
This is what resistance looks like:
"The White House ordered a stop to the background check investigations after they deemed the process too intrusive..."

Senseless pain is about to be afflicted to D.C., a place that has no congressional representation. www.nytimes.com/2025/03/12/u...
Adam Kinzinger (S... & @AdamKinzinger Follow So let me get this straight, @GavinNewsom desperate to platform MAGA, @chuckschumer is defacto supporting the CR. What's the point of an opposition party again?
the primary divide in the Democratic Party right now is not left vs. right
it’s fighters vs. cowards. that’s why even former republicans like kinzinger who are centrists on policy are absolutely furious at Schumer
Federman didn’t even call them cuts. He just said there’s a few issues in there, but they matter way less than the chaos of a shutdown. He’s fully bearing his head in the sand around what these cuts would mean.
When you are so afraid of Trump calling you Shutdown Schumer that you willingly accept Surrender Schumer as your legacy.
Senate Democrats, I implore you: hold the line, and demand a clean, bipartisan short-term bill that we all can support to keep the government open. Thank you @maddow.msnbc.com for discussing with me tonight.
