I watched an essay on Kowloon Walled City by DemiLee tonight (that place always fascinated me) and there was a quote from Deleuze & Guattari which spoke to me beyond architecture and geospatial design but too art and life itself.

If so can you tell me? Also if both, when does the definition crossover? Is there a name for it? If you are an artist and you hire someone for their skill set in an art medium, what definition is used?

It’s funny how I somehow trained my FB (not knowingly) to serve me almost exclusively food recipes instead of any other garbage in the last few weeks.
Highly recommend it if still in that hellscape. Much better than most of the horrible on there atm.

Today I needed a quick fix for a video edit which was a zoom recording. Not my fav footage to work with and when the interviewer forgets to turn their mic off and gets their face on the recording looking awkward. I just covered them with a buffering freeze frame with some artifacts. Client happy 😂

Not sure how others do it but once every 2-3 weeks I go looking for new music. I use Apple Music for some of this (not a Spotify user) and also some YouTuber reaction videos. Latest discovery for me on high rotation is Orbit Culture. Damn it smooth and brutal all at once.
Great selection but I feel that Sexy Beast in these chaotic times need another viewing just to hear Sir Ben Kingsley say “No” that emphatically. Mark will choose Shape of Water because it’s beautiful and we all need some escape.
So finally got over myself and have opened booking for my first masterclass in my purpose build studio.

I spent the weekend setting up a whole Masterclass for next month but now having complete imposter syndrome and haven’t actually launched it.
Brains are fun.
My daughter uses my iPad (I rarely get to use it) to draw. Lots of animals but slowly she is making more conceptual work. It makes me happy so watch her evolve and play.
I ask what this is and was told “no idea, it just came to me”. I really dig its simplicity and graphic look.
If you are a filmmaker just starting out, please learn a good post workflow. I almost brought a reckoning down on people this week because of laziness and non-existent workflows. Doesn’t need to be perfect and can evolve but have something. #filmmaking #postproduction #workflow
2025. Hopefully the year of masterclasses and workshops on all crazy things I do.
The biggest thing will be organizing it all.
