BACK-TO-BACK WINS! β€οΈβπ₯
No I think a picture of those who led the Brexit campaign groups and were actually responsible for the result would sum up the referendum better and yes that's why and how he's targeting Sunderland (among many other places) but still none of that makes it the spiritual home of Brexit
Could you please make sure Sadiki and Diarra are never allowed to regrow their hair? Thanks
Burnley were definitely worst mind, they were fucking awful
how much do you think Diarra's tackles/interceptions, passes, and runs contributed to the result?
Think Diarra is motm so far given the number of times he's won the ball back, his playmaking, and the runs he's made. Looks like either team could win and doesn't feel like it'll end a draw.
And no other pictures like that were taken anywhere else in the country that night, right?
Sunderland announcing its result first wasn't unique to the Brexit referendum and didn't change the result elsewhere. Yes, the vote was against the city's self-interest. The same is true for the country as a whole. Neither of these things makes Sunderland the spiritual home of Brexit.
Think they maxed out the number of players loaned out in January, if not before, plus we've lacked depth on the bench
Plenty of other constituencies voted for Brexit by bigger margins (up to just under 75%). And yes, there are Reform supporters in the crowd, but that's the same as any other club. It's also not the point you made originally anyway. You said Sunderland was the spiritual home of Brexit. It isn't.
Sunderland the spiritual home of Brexit? Even though plenty of other areas voted to leave by bigger margins? Is Farage, Tice, Banks, Gove, or Johnson from Sunderland?
If you think Farage should not be invited to a Sunderland match π

They'll get 10% of any profit we make on him. Honestly not sure how far 5 million would go for transfers and wages in the Netherlands, presumably further than England though www.sunderlandecho.com/sport/footba...
Yeah, I think everyone criticising him needs to chill out. Very quickly forgot how good he was at the start of the season and just after coming back from a serious injury. Not to mention being young and still adapting to the prem.
I don't think the director who invited him voted in the referendum. Regardless, this is what Sunderland supporters are doing now: bsky.app/profile/thec...
With enough people supporting Reform in the crowd we aren't all going to boo in a certain minute or whatever. I don't see any viable means other than the petition bsky.app/profile/thec...
Sunderland fans are outraged over the suggestion that bigot Nigel Farage may visit their club soon - and rightly so
By @rachelcdailey.bsky.social
With how entitled he Trump and co feel to interfere in the domestic policies of other countries they almost certainly will at some point
Unfortunately not. Reported by a number of credible news outlets and matches the previous of the particular director at the club who invited him.

"Nigel Farage recently said he has held conversations with a director of Sunderland A.F.C. (reportedly Juan Sartori) who has invited him to attend a home match"

Story for @sport.theguardian.com as Sunderland Women are to be taken over by Bay Collective www.theguardian.com/football/202...
π¨π‘ππͺ: Sunderland have agreed a deal to sell a c.80% stake in their women's team to Bay Collective, headed by Kay Cossington and backed by investment firm Sixth Street.
Will bring increased funding for #SAFC Women and not seen as PSR-motivated.

I definitely agree that it's positive. I don't think it was the money that was an issue as such - the spending by the women's team is a drop in the water compared to that of the men - but probably the need for undivided attention, ambition, and experience specifically with women's football
