Ultimately, the big problem so that this is an interquel. They can't change the world or the characters too much because we know where it all ends up in Legend of Korra. Consequently, there's some tension robbed from the film, IMO.

Honestly, I think it's fine. If you use the sub regularly, you can self promote just fine. If you dont use it regularly, why are you even bothering to use it to promote yourself? Youre not part of that community.
