Just finished a brand new #quake jam with help from a bunch of mappers, check it out now!

I've been using this for UZDoom sprites as well as OpenRA! It's great for rendering a thing from 8 or 16 angles at limited palettes
Now also having dithering sounds great!
old cosy games for internet detox days
Meanwhile, thousands of games on Steam solely exist for achievement farming. It's like they turned Steam itself into an idle game. That's the sort of thing that should probably never have been allowed
Maybe it all started with equating "addictive game" = "good game"
I like achievements that encourage different styles, offer extra challenges, etc.
Little fun modes or minigames
The Team Fortress 2 class updates were great. Some are tutorials, some difficult, some habit-building progression. But you only need ~60% to unlock everything and will get them eventually
It's strange. I always saw them as totally optional things.
But clearly many players have an unhealthy obsession. They care so much about the little popups that it ruins their experience
Modern games, esp f2p slot machines, use them as another engine to keep unhappy players hooked forever...
I nod to show everyone I approve of this bat
I decided to re-register an account to enjoy the memes of our 1990s #MoonChild game. ππ
I designed Hoi and Moon Child. Reinier van Vliet coded it, and Ramon Braumuller made the soundtrack.

I hope your reginos is ok
Not enough minerals
born to map in hammer
forced to model in blender
I would have stripped the textures I don't use as well. Thanks for the clarification!
I was going to ask about that, making a UZDoom PK3 and all... happy to hear it!
*on 3 hours of sleep* I should get a gothskunk pose commission
it's so sparkly! like a shooting star
I played it for the music by Masakazu Sugimori (Ace Attorney) and didn't even know the characters were by Hato Moa! And the music is pretty good. But there is SO much Picross with no twists. I couldn't get into the story. Wiki describes it as "Ace Attorney style visual novel" but I felt no tension
I'm big bad wolf husband
ok I did use the model for practice. and boy do I need more practice
always fun to make goofy little guys walk around
textures by strideh, sounds by jasper carmack
modeling humanoids is so hard!!! I need way more practice. definitely out of my comfort zone
world premiere look at a dumb monster I'm throwing straight in the trash after posting this. he will be lost media
OpenToonz probably?
Krita allegedly has an animation tab? I've never used it for that
Blender can do 2D animation fairly well too (grease pencil, built-in movie editing and export), but idk about vectors
low poly fursuit
I find it hard to imagine it will ever reach the same standard. This is a tool upgraded by industry leading developers and designers for three decades lol. Certainly won't be ready in 3 weeks for release so that's awkward timing
just when you thought the shadows were safe...

I'm knee deep in Source modding communities and wow the prevailing opinion is not good. if s&box can't appeal to that audience I'm not sure who they CAN reach
didn't expect the atmosphere to be so negative. I just wanted another cool toy. "Source 2 minigames with built-in multiplayer" sounded good
Easter 2026 promo image of a sausage and 2 sad men wearing dirty bunny ears and ugly bunny noses
it's not just the sausage guy either. that design could work in a toony style, maybe. but everything looks so dirty and infected it's genuinely physically revolting
I saw a lot of questions being asked and not a lot of answers even on their discord, yeah. Entire sections of documentation are still empty (e.g. mapping)
Thanks for the quotes, good to know...
oh...? I have heard vague things but not been following the tool at all for the past year or so
Scene Mapping seems adequate at least yeah. Better chance of getting updated over time. Maybe with better documentation or video tutorials I'd find it less clunky
4000 hours is super impressive lol, what have you been working on primarily
