Though I would also say that to the extent that this will relieve faculty of non major advising duties, not all will honestly hate this. Not all faculty are impactful advisors.

I recently heard someone say something along the lines of “no one likes AI.” This is one of those times when we all need to broaden our understanding of other realities. Corporations, businesses and many educational concerns LOVE ai. This is not likely to change anytime soon.

Gotta say it's mindblowing to me that the Brown shooter is still at large and they don't even seem to have identified who they're looking for.
Too many of us have had the experience of our employer, or educational institution writing, texting and calling to say that a shooter is among us, run to safety, barricade the door. And if that’s doesn’t work, fight like your life depends on it. Too many of us have received this message.
For a couple of years now, I've been fascinated with what's happening at small liberal arts colleges, which are running out of money for reasons unrelated to Trump funding cuts. Businessweek let me go deep on the problems, and one college that's trying to blaze a new trail.
The most embarrassing thing about me is I love academia despite its toxicity. For years I’ve been unable to recommend it as a career path. But today as more institutions are relinquishing what ever made these institutions worthwhile I am not sure the enterprise as a whole will last much longer.
