Enjoyed being in Milan for the European Cystic Fibrosis Conference! Presented our study on the long-term effectiveness of CF modulators using US CFF registry data, challenging without a contemporary control group post-rapid adoption.

Grateful to the ECFS for the Travel Grant Award.

Periodic reminder:

Hyphens for double-barrelled surnames (Fisher-Box, Barndorff-Nielsen).

En-dashes for shared credit among 2+ people (Box–Cox, Kaplan–Meier, Cramér–Rao, Gauss–Hermite, Newton–Raphson).

Stop wasting my time (googling “did Kaplan and Meier have a kid”) by getting this wrong

A Joint Model for (Un)Bounded Longitudinal Markers, Competing Risks, and Recurrent Events Using Patient Registry Data Joint models for longitudinal and survival data have become a popular framework for studying the association between repeatedly measured biomarkers and clinical events. Nevertheless, addressing compl...

Our new paper is out in Statistics in Medicine! We developed a joint model for multiple (un)bounded longitudinal markers, recurrent events, and competing risks, applied to US CF patient registry data. Joint work with @drizopoulos.bsky.social and @erandrinopoulou.bsky.social.
