Mmm yeah, not sure about that one. Wouldn't have been against it if we were still in the Championship but thought we'd be looking at someone more proven to compliment isidor & Mayenda even if it's from another European league

Would love to see us go 532/352 for this one. Put Ballard right cb & pit him straight up against Haji Wright, get Neil, Jobe & ELF central, Hume & Cirkin wingbacks, Mayenda & Isidor up top.
Just can't see him doing that unfortunately.

Enjoyed that & you're largely on the same page as me. I don't doubt the players miss Dodds but I'm not having it that he was crucial to style of play.
As for RLB I agree that he was massively let down by the Jan window but 5 L's on the spin is unacceptable & if that turns into 6/7 he's in trouble

11 months ago 0 0 0 0

You said it yourself 5 losses on the spin is unacceptable!
When Mowbray was here he got to 3 a few times & I thought if he got to 4 he'd be in trouble, 5 & he'd be gone no question. He never got to 4 nor did Beale but both got the boot.
Go out against Cov like we expect & I think he'll be gone

At work but looking forward to watching this later. Phil always gives level headed explanations

Would have been the only options.
I just don't think it's been handled very well is all.

1 year ago 0 0 0 0

I know it's not as easy as that not least because it would have meant dealing with Harte again
My point was more would it not have been better to let him go but obviously it would have been too late in the window to identify a replacement so trying for Clarke or more realistically keeping Aouchiche

1 year ago 0 0 2 0

Would it not have been better to sell him in Jan & loan Clarke back or just keep Aouchiche?
The timing of this is shocking & I can't believe we've even entertained bids outside of the window
I'd honestly rather give Aleksic the minutes over him now, it's about time the lad was given a chance.

Full statement from Labour MP Kim Johnson on today's Spring Statement

Agree & he should have started vs Coventry! The fact he didn't start or come on at ht, nor with the 1st set of subs is questionable to say the least. Add in the fact that when he finally was thrown on he was put out on the right wing & we were already 3 nil down is just plain baffling!

Some really good points made. I'm with you's, think we've been sleep walking through games for months & needed a pasting (of course it would be Coventry to give it). We now have the break to find some answers to what's going wrong but I'm starting to worry Le Bris doesn't have those answers.

Will we see a different Jobe now he's not on a tightrope?
He's been played more advanced & not really got in to games ever since RLB said they'd have to 'manage' the situation. Even tonight when he should have been in next to Neil he was our most advanced midfielder leaving Neil exposed.

Yvette Cooper says a 37 per cent rise in shoplifting in the UK over the past two years is due to a lack of policing. Isn't it more likely to be because the cost of living is sky-high and people are so desperate that they have to steal essentials?

Thanx Phil, always enjoy your debriefs, you're a lot more calm & collected than me. I normally contribute with a question but I just had no nice words about yesterday tbh.

Hume probably only one that comes out with any credit & was good to see Mundle back but there was literally no other positives

1 year ago 0 0 0 0

Knew that would be the case & that's why you freshen things up a bit. Picking the same team was madness imo

1 year ago 0 0 0 0

Half agree with him on Mepham but he should have come after their equaliser for just to defend the set pieces. Perhaps he'd have made no difference but we had no answer to the Rothwell & Struijk partnership that won them the game

1 year ago 0 0 0 0

Browne should have come on instead of Samed, it's a role he's played before & his championship experience would have really helped us in those closing stages
Taking Roberts off should have happened much earlier, possibly ht even. Their Lb was having a stinker but unfortunately Roberts was even worse

1 year ago 1 0 1 0

A couple of games out will do him good, get him fit for the run in & inevitable play offs.
He looks tired & obviously there's this ankle issue. Browne straight swap or Mundle in with Le Fee moving central are decent replacements but please no Samed
