A meme from Parks and Rec where Ben (labeled "Us") says to Andy and April (labeled "Republicans"), "Teen pregnancy rates going down is a good thing. Do you know that? It's important to me that you that."

The national teen pregnancy rate has gone down, and Republicans are actually MAD about it??

We shouldn't even have to say it, but teenagers having access to sex education, contraception, and abortion care is a net positive! 📣

Over-the-counter medication abortion? These researchers say it would be safe A paper in JAMA Internal Medicine adds to the growing scientific evidence that medication abortion pills would be safe to sell over-the-counter at the pharmacy. But political opposition means that…

"There's so much discussion about the restrictions on medication abortion that are not evidence-based…It's exciting to see science pointing us in another direction, where access could be expanded.” - Dr. Daniel Grossman, Director of @ansirh.bsky.social

Missouri Decides Pregnant Women Should Be Allowed to Leave Bad Marriages Missouri was one of four states that still had a law making it difficult for a woman to get divorced if she were pregnant.

No pregnant person should be forced to stay in a marriage or have their divorce be made more complicated, bc they are pregnant.

There is still work to be done to address this issue, as these kinds of horrifying laws still exist in Arkansas, Texas, and Arizona today.

Cheryl Doyley’s experience with the judicial system is not a singular experience — judges have ordered pregnant people to have c-sections against their will for decades.

Pregnant people deserve to be listened to, believed, and treated with respect and dignity.

University of Oregon to offer abortion pills on campus this fall after student pressure campaign The University of Oregon will offer mifepristone and misoprostol to students this fall after a campaign by groups, including UO Students for Choice.

This is how you organize! Congratulations to the students who successfully advocated for their right to care. All universities and colleges should make medication abortion easily accessible for their students 🧡

More than 1 in 4 people who have abortions do so through telehealth. It increases access by offering care that reduces travel, costs, and stigma.

This ruling in LA may have paused the state's attempt to limit how people can get medication abortion, but the fight is far from over.

The treatment of pregnant people in ICE detention centers is abhorrent, and a reproductive health crisis. Abolishing ICE is not just about stopping arrests; it’s about dismantling a system that strips humans of their rights and robs them of their bodily autonomy.

Your data is everywhere. The government is buying it without a warrant Data brokers buy up huge amounts of information from cell phones and browsers to sell for targeted advertising. But the government, including ICE, also buys the data.

Over 130 civil society organizations have called on Congress to close a data broker loophole that has allowed federal agencies to buy private information and creates a pathway for the supercharge of AI-powered surveillance.

Doulas can improve health outcomes for women and babies. Insurers are taking notice. While more Medicaid patients and even some on private plans have gained doula coverage in recent years, United is the first major insurer to begin rolling out the benefit nationwide.

Insurance plans covering doula services is an important step towards truly comprehensive care. No pregnant or postpartum person should be unable to access the support they want or need simply because they can't afford it.

Episode 11: Disinformation and abortion, with Dr. Ushma Upadhyay - Unchecked: The architecture of disinformation SYNOPSISSpeaking to Dr. Ushma Upadhyay, Rachel and Dan dig into misinformation about abortion – who gets them, why they get them, and how they get them. You may be surprised by some of the answers.…

When the data doesn’t back up their arguments, anti-abortion groups turn to misinformation to make their case.

That includes self-publishing unsubstantiated data to influence public opinion, and even using that data to justify a national abortion ban.

Supreme Court rules against Colorado's ban on conversion therapy aimed at LGBTQ youth Kaley Chiles, a Christian talk therapist in Colorado, argued that the state ban violated her First Amendment rights.

Conversion therapy is pseudoscience, not real therapy. It has been condemned by every mainstream medical and mental health association. It tears families apart and traumatizes children. It is NOT legitimate mental health care.
