Amoc and Áilu Valle win the 2026 Áillohaš Music Award Inari Sámi rapper Amoc and Northern Sámi rapper Áilu Valle have jointly won the 2026 Áillohaš Music Award, the first instance in which multiple individual artists have won the award within the same year. About The Winners Amoc is a rapper from Inari who performs in the severely endangered Inari Sámi language, which has around 400 native speakers. He released his first album in 2007, and is known for his dark lyrics, in a genre he calls horror-rap.

As part of Sámi Grand Prix, it was announced that Amoc and Áilu Valle won the 2026 Áillohaš Music Award.

Ánte Niillas Bongo and ELLINOR win Sámi Grand Prix 2026 The winners of Sámi Grand Prix 2027 have been announced as ELLINOR, who won the song section with their entry “Du dušši”, with Ante Niillas Bongo taking the joik category with "Náššá álddut" Caroline J Kuhmunen was the runner-up in the songs section whilst Sárá Nilut placed second out of the joiks. I've been following these guys for years. It was through watching a Northkid interview I first discovered the fan press circuit. an absolute BANGER and a lovely full circle moment for me.
