It's very easy to imagine "Move Any Mountain" as the 2.0 version of New Labour's "Things Can Only Get Better" where the implied "mountain" is the willingness of the British public to vote for fascism.

If Altern-8 had been put in charge of the response to Covid it all would have been contained a lot faster.
I discovered this week that Mr C from The Shamen is now running as the Green Party candidate for Islington - and I have become quite invested in this nascent political career. The timeline where Mr C from The Shamen becomes future prime minister makes as much sense as anything at the moment.

You can get a Werner Herzog action figure though - based on his brief appearance in one episode of The Mandalorian. I almost got my sister's kids a pair of matching Werner Herzog Star Wars figures for Xmas one year.
Clavicula Has Risen From the Grave. Blood of Clavicula's Castle. Taste the Blood of Clavicula. Countess Clavicula. Clavicula A.D. 1972. The Satanic Rites of Clavicula. Scream, Clavicula, Scream! Francis Ford Coppola's Bram Stoker's Clavicular.
If I can just complete this ray gun that will retroactively erase the entire concept of video content on the internet from existence altogether then I think we'll all be fine.
I don't normally experience "fear of missing out" but I definitely feel something on that spectrum in relation to how Thatcher died just two weeks after I emigrated from the country. I would have liked to have been there for that.
Probably a safe bet that one of the Artemis crew has by now contracted some weird space infection that they are hiding from the other astronauts.
We must not become less of ourselves in the face of annihilation. We must hold to who we are, hold tight to our joys. i came into this world dead, grey and silent. I shall go out of strange, full of love and wondrous curiosity. I shall go a fully-grown changeling with a kiss of intent on my lips.
"let's just leave the imaginal terrain of magic in the hands of these two for a couple of generations. What could go wrong?"
My current turn towards writing fiction is very inspired by the narratives of magic and the English occult imagination that have been shaped over the past couple of decades by the writing of Neil Gaiman and J.K. Rowling - and what a horrible fucking shitshow that is.
The spurious backstory is almost like a convention of these texts - Abramelin, etc. The unlikeliness of the lede doesn't change that there are concepts of magic consistently transmitted in these texts over centuries. It's like not listening to the Beatles because they're not real beetles.
I sometimes see takes that want to disregard the whole grimoire corpus on the basis of it not having really been written by King Solomon or derived from ancient Judaism - which is weird to me. I don't think anybody really thinks a historical St Cyprian wrote the Cyprianic grimoire texts either.
I'm intrigued to learn what this might be about but not quite intrigued enough to sit through occult video content in order to find out...
Any sufficiently advanced tech bro bullshit is indistinguishable from occult bro bullshit

“Let us not give these witless fuckers an inch.”
Yeah I heard that.
I just looked that up. I didn't know about that piece. I had seen some debunking of Federici by witch trial historians here and there but didn't have a good link to criticism. And people are so invested in it that it's difficult to discuss without the receipts, so that is useful.
I constantly see Federici's ideas presented as fact over on Threads by large follower accounts with hundreds of likes and reinforcing comments, and nobody even questioning it. I really thought that the discourse had moved on from Murray hypothesis-like false histories - but it hasn't.
And I wonder if these things are connected. Record collectors no longer wanting to share their rare 45s because they keep being scraped by these parasites churning out the most lifeless easily spottable pastiches with the same tempo and superficial signifiers, but with none of the human weirdness. 2
I made a youtube playlist of doo wop 45s a few months back - and a lot of the best tracks had been posted by one record collector account. Went to listen to it again, and that account is now deleted & all those tracks no longer there. I also saw a LOT of awful AI doo wop slop clogging the space. 1/
Kinshasa in Action by KinAct album cover. Collage of several different photographs, each featuring individuals clothed in outlandish outfits apparently made out of refuse.
'Shockingly contemporary, yet vibrating with an ancient political significance that interrogates the future of the Democratic Republic of the Congo—the sound of a society’s refuse being hammered into something transcendent'
Kinshasa in Action by KinAct is tQ's Album of the Week

Not to be missed if you're in London
This is such a beautiful record. If you haven't heard this LP - and you only know Jimmy Scott from his Twin Peaks appearance - this is the best record you haven't heard that you will hear today.

Kristy Noem being reassigned to the "Shield of the Americas" makes it sound like she's being entered into some experimental super-soldier program.
If I were an American traditional witchcraft author my pen-name would be Markwayne Mullein.
