I’m about to release a song that references a very niche sly 2 meme from the Finnish dub this is a colab with a Finnish artist

Because right now I look like an insane Finland fan there is a chance I will get in the Finnish press again if I’ve planned this right. That will help promote the song

Currently trying to get the show in Finland booked, it’s looking like the show will be in Helsinki but this is not confirmed

To help with this the Finland posting has been upped massively and right now I’m trying to get the City of Helsinki’s attention so that is going to be a common theme

Another reason the chorus in particular is so addictive is with how the vocals are layered on top of of the song, the vocal melody is placed on top of a melody that's layered beneath the song an underlick

Another thing I did to make the chorus more memorable was word smearing I say the end of each line more like
"at the Hive Moind" and by smearing the word ever so slightly it makes the chorus stick out that bit more in your head

Chorus Transform to a blank state at the Hive mind Accept your new fate at the Hive mind Free will disappears at the Hive mind Was this really all what you had in mind

Another thing I did was use a song writing technique called the tri loop twist
essentially it's where you have a melody you repeat 3 times then on the 4th you change it and it just makes the chorus way more addictive and the sort of thing you'll find yourself humming idly without realising

The flow of the lyrics and the vocal melody is enunciated in a way to try and create a back and forth motion like a metronome

One of the ways I did this was with the use of hypnotic language using words that are associated with hypnosis/trance with the second verse bearing resemblance to a hypnotic induction

I wanted to prove the correlation between catchy songs and hypnotic mantras as if you think about it they're the same thing
Both things are catchy melodies and human brains love catchy easy to remember melodies
