Been a while, but IIRC part of the reason the Abbot in Name of the Rose asks William to investigate was because he had reputation for fairness as an Inquisitor in Kilkenny. I remember it sticking out to me on account of how much the idea of an 'inquisitor' in negatively connotated culturally.

Hitler pulling his hair out trying to figure out how to stop the Soviet and Allied war machines closing in on both ends. Meanwhile Himmler is masturbating in the corner high off meth having fully convinced himself that he's the reincarnation of Hägar the Horrible.
Meanwhile, the Nazis were spending their discretionary funds trying to find out where Santa Claus was hiding.
It's so interesting to compare the various manifestations of Soviet, Nazi, and Western occultism. The Soviets mostly abandoned it as unscientific, but especially during the early period you have guys like Roerich trying to polymerize Marxism and Tantric Buddhism.
Doing some research for the TTRPG campaign I'm running
Anyways here's my picks.
Drakengard Mentioned hell yeah

So glad that the Internet Archive's digital library got nuked for the sake of this guy's shitty star wars books.
I love KotOR 2 but one of my favorite bits is about how Kreia waxes poetic about how the republic is doomed.
Like, the end of the Republic comes 4000 years later and then they make a newer, better one like 25 years after. As far as Governments go the Galactic Republic is killing it tbh.
That's crazy. I don't know how I'm going to handle the implications of a literal end of history. I'm sure the psychic burden will be both amusing and revelatory of some fundamental aspect of human nature.
At least I can rest easy knowing that a bunch of satellites will never achieve sentience.
It's called Final Fantasy X

It's interesting you should say this. There's a great piece of media that covers this exact topic
Fascinating, but irrelevant. Sysadmins are the people most prepared for the inevitable Butlerian Jihad in every country around the world. Please consider the following image as proof:
You're right, of course. It's Sysadmins who own handguns.
In either case, both own multiple handguns.
The guys who took a python boot camp and use AI to solve all their problems are the most chudded out while the guy who has only programmed in Lisp, C, and SQL for 30 years is 50/50 on being either a straight-up communist or the last living Actual Libertarian.
At least in my experience, the more, the woker. Usually adjusted for age, though.
In my experience, you can usually tell who in the workplace is woke and who's a chud based how much they interact with the linux kernel.
The 9 being covered up by the alt text button on this really makes this transcendent.
Maybe also the English Civil War.
Hmm. Today I think I will make an SRPG about the Wat Tyler rebellion.
Meme that says 'Bitches be like: "I have my whole life ahead of me". No you don't, the mutual ruin of the contending classes is coming'. An image of Karl Marx approaching threateningly through a foggy forest is attached.
made this today to win an argument how'd i do
In 1982, Casiopeia played Domino Line at Chuo Kaikan Hall and Jazz has not reached those heights since.

I've gotten pretty good about forgetting the HBO actors but in my head, Tywin will always look look Charles Dance.
Also- Kit Harrington is still there but as Satin.
I went halvsies on a switch 2 for Christmas, and the only game I've really been looking forwards to is the next Fire Emblem. Nothing else has really caught my attention
Esoteric Ebb is so good. It's scratches the Planescape: Torment itch I've had since I was a kid that until now, only Disco Elysium could scratch.
