Good grief.

Anyone else tired of the depth and extent of the stupidity in the upper reaches of world leadership?

...and yet it continues.

I've always thought all HMRC staff ought to be given a bonus of say 10% of all tax avoidance eliminated.

That would get things moving!

They see absolutely nothing wrong with taking this position.

Weaponised selfishness.

Careful who you vote for.

Picked the wrong time to replace nuclear with ....checks notes ....gas.

Get those plants restarted ASAP and blame the war. Sanity will then miraculously prevail with full cover for the political embarrassment.

Couldn't agree more.

I was forced to read The Hobbit at school in English Literature and when I presented my view that 'It was a load of pseudo-religious bollox' I got a detention.

55 years later and my view has not shifted one iota.

Leadership 101: Acknowledge Reality

Echoing Tony Blair's 'Tough on crime; tough on the causes of crime' line, the journey taken to end-up with the views that led this herbert to a jail sentence need to be understood.

Understanding that will hopefully lead to better policy decisions in the future.

Screwed down all the creaky floorboards in the second bedroom.

On the to do list since 1994.

Thanks BlueSky!

It would be interesting to do a word count on the 3 categories in the media and see where the most negative attention is placed.

My hypothesis would be that it would be in inverse proportion to the cost to the country.

Well, what were the odds?

When in doubt, ask 'Who benefits from this?' then follow the money.

Well, news organisations of the UK, you now know what to do for every press Q&A with him going forwards.

I used to assume The Gumbys in Monty Python were a fictional construct.

How wrong can you be?

The sentiment is supported.

You may, however, be underestimating the stupidity of The Great British Public.

I am entirely lacking in authentic religious awareness and feeling.

I am also rather amused by the thought of anyone being daft enough to pay for this.

They must see these people coming a mile off.

McCartney: The Hunt for the Lost Bass The disappearance of McCartney’s original Höfner bass over 50 years ago is one of rock ‘n’ roll’s great mysteries. This is the story of the iconic instrument and the quest to find it.

Just watched this - what a tale!

A golden opportunity for every other genetics R&D organisation in every other advanced nation in the world.

I'm sure Lord Vallance is on the case for the UK as we speak.

When, as a politician, your policies have economically shafted 2/3 of the country and left whole UK regions poorer than pre-89 Eastern Europe, people tend to have little respect for you, dead or not.

Some in London & the South-East benefited from The Awful Thatcher. The rest of us? Not so much.
