TIL about a memorial ceremony in Iceland in 2019 to mark the end of a glacier, changing the place name from Okjökull to Ok (jökull = glacier). Uncompromising wording on the bronze plaque:
"This is to acknowledge that we know what is happening and what needs to be done. Only you know if we did it".

Q's to guide us as we do the hard work amidst ecological & climate grief:
How do I honour my younger self?
How do I honour my ancestors?
How do I honour future generations?
And how will I care for and rejuvenate myself to maintain this energy for life?
Beautiful talk from Tiahni Adamson

Little brake from brumation for some in-house foraging of this handsome lad. Terrarium warmth is up as South Australia's ambient day temperature is way down, and we are finally getting some beautiful rainfall. Even still, the sound of the rain often sets off an indoor frog chorus.
