The thing I find extremely wild is folks building LLM-powered automations that they could do with just a little bit of Python, or even an IFTTT account. They’re impressed with LLM versions of tools that have existed for decades and that their techy friends have been trying to tell them about.

Let's call this policy what this is.

It's socialism. It's Leftism. And it's curing actual ills. Righting institutional wrongs.

my biggest pet peeve around LLMs is when people (usually those invested in its success) call it “intelligent”. it definitionally, how it functions on a base level, is not intelligent. the way LLMs are built, it can never hit real intelligence. it’s just predictive
