Maybe you'd like to join me in helping emerging markets' businesses grow? Donations to Kiva's operating costs are voluntary, you don't have to give to lend. Of course, once in a while a creditor will default but it happens fewer times than you'd think - at least in the manufacturing sector...

The money keeps being repaid and I keep lending it out...today to three entrepreneurs in Latin America. Two of them are organized in local lending groups which act as guarantors of the loans. Great system with local business owners supporting each other.
