short comic of two pages, done digitally in rebelle 7. depicts the scene of d*eath of leon s kennedy, and chris redfield’s (his husband’s! hello!) reaction to it.
first page, four panels:
1. four portraits of leon, from different periods of life. the first three are readable as his appearances from the second, the fourth, and some amalgamation of the sixth game and the movies, all turned away from us. the fourth portrait looks like him in the last game, and he’s looking towards us. there are all kinds of lines and patterns around him, all hinting all the changes the character went through. the panel is all done in blue/green/deep red colours.
2. chris redfield’s portrait, looking down but straight at us. it looks like he’s on the verge of crying. (just like me every time i look at his silly crying potato face here). two red lines cross his face from the left, but only one is visible on the right. his portrait is mostly red in colour.
3. leon with his head on chris redfield’s shoulder. we can’t see neither of their faces. chris is with his back to us (wearing his big coat, collar up), and leon’s face is completely hidden by shadow. everything that’s in the light is gray-greenish-blue. there are two thin threads in the background, blue and green, they’re chaotic and messy.
4. leon, lying on his back, d*ead as a doorknob, looking to the right. everything is red and purple and strawberry sauce. chris’ hand is reaching towards leon’s.
the continuation of the comic. second page, two (more like three?) panels.
1. first one is a big panel where we can only see parts of leon’s and chris’ faces, and their hands (leon’s left hand is visible, scarred with t-virus), while chris is holding leon in his arms, all red and creepy in colour. there’s a wedding ring on chris’ left hand, and there’s a thin white thread going from it towards leon’s left hand that is hidden in chris’. there’s also a thin second panel added into the creepy one, with what looks like a photo taken in summer, of them both happy and smiling. the panel with their happy faces fits right into the panel with their faces on the creepy panel, like one is a continuation of the other.
2. the last panel. full-body image of chris holding leon (doorknob style) in his arms, with his cheek on leon’s head, his left arm on leon’s left shoulder, his right arm holding leon’s lowered left hand around the wrist. leon’s left eye is open, with a dim light in it. the white thread going from chris’ ring to leon’s is cut. the light from the sunny panel is the only bright light hitting chris’ figure. everything else is red and purple and black.
‘turn around, bright eyes’
‘and if you only hold me tight, we’ll be holding on forever’
