Eartha Kitt as Catwoman, in a glossy black catsuit costume, standing on outdoor brick steps, wearing black cat ears and mask, a gold chain necklace with a round medallion, matching gold belt and accessories.
Sure, and rarities.
What was I like in the nineties? Unbearable, nothing’s changed.
On Earth Day, I’m listening to some Eartha.

Europe has really launched ahead of the United States in “bathroom stall that goes all the way to the floor” technology
Due to a set of rules he imposed on himself, Paul Young spent most of the 80s living in a hatstand.
A thing about the heaviest users of chatbots is that they acclimate to cloying obsequiousness. Like a billionaire and their entourage of viziers, it becomes normal to them.
Any interaction that is *not* abject simpering they'll now perceive as a slap to the face, an aggressively violent outburst.
I’m so middle-aged that my recent social media posts include a picture of spring flowers and a story about a teenage boy being kind to an old woman on public transport
All I’m saying is if I was going to write a book about a boy who never grew up, I wouldn’t have called him Peter Pan. I would’ve named him Constanteen.

That’s the joke I was going for, but I wouldn’t put it past them either.
Tom Cruise movies are so unrealistic. You never see him struggling to reach something on a high shelf.
A fascinating obituary of Magdalen alumnus Desmond Morris, who has died aged 98.

Desmond Morris was very important to me because he wrote about gay people in his book The Naked Ape and it was the first time I'd ever read or heard a description of gay people that wasn't sneering or judgemental. It was thrilling.
About 40 years later I had a chance to tell him so.
RIP Mr Morris
RIP Desmond Morris, a gifted science communicator whose book The Naked Ape (1967) broke daring new ground in creating elaborate evo-psych justifications for an earlobe fetish
I feel seen. Great read!
A lot of silent, respectful nodding at this Georgia O'Keeffe exhibit. And one guy in the back who just won't stop whispering "Nice."
Did you know that if you stop being overly considerate nothing happens except you get your time and energy back from entitled people? I didn’t.
The dishwasher is the most coddled appliance. You have to do its job before it can do its job.
Aww. I know I’d be opalesque against you in a Rosetta Stone fight, for obsidian reasons.
