You're fully aware of what's happening but you don't have a care in the world about it. It's one of the weirdest things I've experienced.

He hasn't had the easiest go of it; Injuries, mental health struggles, and the loss of his dad. One of those alone would take a toll. It's not likely to happen, but I think if he went back to Finland for a year or two and then attempted an NHL comeback he'd have success.

I'd argue the cap going up would just inflate the asking prices of Marner, Matthews and Nylander at negotiating table. Dubas being a bad negotiator would fold and give them the bag. The cap increase maybe lets them keep Hyman, but they're still dumpster diving for goaltenders and defenceman.

I'm fine with a "Shanaplan" if they skip the part where they get piss drunk on a rogue playoff appearance as the 8th seed, and lose every ounce of leverage on their core guys on ELC's by signing the biggest free agent available.

Wasn't the state of Israel founded on the principle that Holocaust victims didn't feel safe/didn't trust living in Europe after the war?

For me it's just a throw in with the package subscription. I always found Prime to be really deceptive in advertising. You find something to watch and then... just kidding it's only available if you buy this stupid add-on subscription.

The White Sox are entering the upswing part of their rebuild. They're still in for a good shit-knocking this year and will lose 90+ games. But, the pieces are in place to catch a slow starting/slumping team off guard and steal a win here or there.

The results might not show it this year or even next. But the bones are very much there for the White Sox future.

Between the current situation in the Middle East and the poor public sentiment around the previous federal government's climate policy, I'll give Nenshi a pass on this one.

Suarez was a key piece in the D-Backs 2023 run and last year in Seattle. I 100% had him going to another contender in the offseason (Lookin at you Philadelphia).

Haven't watched a game since the Hughes trade. They've just been playing to get by. It doesn't make for good watching. Thank god for Football and Baseball!

Just 10 more games left this year!

I think there's a couple years of this to happen yet.

Is it really GSF if you didn't freeze to death at 1am waiting for a cab home? To get the "good" weather you have to go further west/inland. We moved 2 hours west and I've found difference in the weather, we actually hit high 20's-low 30's in the summer. The tradeoff? Colder and longer winters.

Let them punch a winter here in Newfoundland and they'll be singing a different tune pretty quick.

I love living here, and wouldn't want to live anywhere else. But if there was one thing I could change it'd be how friggin difficult and expensive it is to get off the Island.

We're legit closer to London England than we are Vancouver which is kind of crazy to say out loud.

Good ol Marine Atlantic! The drive across the island isn't for the faint of heart. Once you hit Grand Falls it isn't too bad, there's decent stops every hour or so all the way to St.John's. But the Port Aux Basque to Corner Brook and Deer Lake to Grand Falls parts are gnarly. There's legit nothing.

We're trying to muster up the courage to drive to Nova Scotia and New Brunswick with the kids for a holiday. I can't decide what's going to be worse:

Drive 8 hours west and spend 7 hours on a ferry crossing

Or

Drive 90 minutes east and spend 14 hours on a ferry crossing.

Holy! That's a trek!

Let's split the difference. We both pay $0.20 instead of $0.25. Government comes down on upper management at CRA for being terrible and maybe just maybe we can both get a human who has higher than a 17% chance of answering questions that could impact our personal finances correctly.

CRA's staff increased 40% since 2018 yet somehow some way accessibility and quality fell off a cliff. A recent audit revealed agents(if you were able to actually get ahold of one) gave incorrect information 83% of the time.

Let's unclutch the pearls.

They stood out like a sore thumb. Every other team was vibing, enjoying the tournament while competing and then you had the US of A.

Cal Raleigh wouldn't acknowledge Naylor or Arozerana's existence. Meanwhile Salvy Perez was chirping the hell out of Vinnie and they were high fiving and carrying on

Interesting to see the shift of public sentiment around American Patriotism and Militarism.

20 years ago you couldn't escape it. It was everywhere. The Dixie Chicks almost got cancelled for being contrarion.

Fast-forward to today and it's the polar opposite. (The way it should be imo).

I ended up seeing Survivor in concert about 15ish years ago and met the band. Decent fellas and a pretty good show. That being said, Eye of the Tiger is beyond overplayed.

Losing momentum in Alberta.

Excel was something I always scoffed at and never really took the time to learn outside of the basics. Landed my dream job last year and use it every day, and I kick myself for not taking the time to learn it beforehand.
