His career in Scotland was overshadowed by his antics as he was first in the news as he settled a dispute with a police officer at a taxi rank with a headbutt and was subsequently jailed for 44 days for headbutting a player on the pitch..

Duncan Ferguson started his Footballing career with Dundee United were he spent 3 years there before moving to Rangers in 1993.

Duncan Ferguson scored his first Everton goal with a superb header, Paul Rideout finished the game off in the 89th minute.

That season he led us to safety, the Everton dogs of war were formed and he led us to the FA cup. 🏆

🔙 On this day in 1994 legendary blues forward Joe Royle returned to Everton and took charge of his first game as Everton manager against Liverpool in the Merseyside Derby.

Going into the game Everton were rock bottom of the league with one 1 win in their last 16 games
