Many who were voting for her were likely never voting for this. They see it as unfair, and only Republicans are allowed to be unfair. And the media has worked overtime to help Republicans, as they always do.

There's also much more interest in writing based on trends, what is going viral, or on what fans are saying, not the show. Anyone who actually thinks there were only ever four fantastic TV shows is just a fool.
It's because with TV there is a much narrower conduit of voices who talk about these shows. Used to be a few TV critics, then as they died out, you just had a few sites, and their employees dominate Twitter TV conversations. I find it tiresome and just a great big wankfest.
I see this attitude all the time and it’s infuriating. These are all very similar shows with similar characters and topics. Nobody would ever say this for any other medium but somehow this small group of shows that appeal most to middle aged dudes are exclusively lionized.
Seth stopped wearing his during the pandemic. I think he also used to have a fake tan, although maybe I'm making that up.
I can't see the show doing that by a few seasons later.

That line read from Kate Ford has always stayed with me...for better or worse...
Whoever put this together hated Lynne Perrie's guts.
I still remember being surprised when she turned up on EE, bringing some presence to a very dumb plot.
I could easily see this leading into a C-grade folk horror film of this era (Crossroads probably could have told that type of plot).
